Blueberry Snail (Viviparus sp.)
The Blueberry Snail is a stunning freshwater snail with a deep blue body speckled with orange-gold spots. Known for their peaceful clumsy nature and ease of care, they make a fantastic addition to community tanks.
Appearance:
• Dark blue body with orange-gold spots
• Spiral, bone-like shell that grows slightly over 1 inch
Behavior:
• Peaceful and non-aggressive
• Slow-moving but always foraging
• Livebearers, giving birth to one baby snail every 1-3 weeks
Diet:
• Algae wafers, spirulina flakes, decaying plant matter, and detritus
• Algae and biofilm growing on aquarium surfaces
Tank Requirements:
• Well-planted tanks with plenty of hiding spots
• Soft, sandy substrate with stem plants
• Indian almond leaves, Catappa bark, and alder cones for added tannins
Care:
• Low maintenance but requires stable water conditions
• Occasional supplementation with algae wafers or blanched vegetables
• Minimum tank size: 5 gallons
• Temperature: 72-82°F
• pH: 7.5-7.8

DOA Policy:
A clear video of the deceased snail must be provided within 10 days of delivery (in case of hibernation). The policy covers the full cost of the snail and shipping.
Please note:
During shipping, snails may enter a hibernation-like state and can take up to a week to fully wake up after adjusting to your aquarium.
